If you are looking for something right on your doorstep, there is a Bar Restaurant in Musculdy just 2 minutes away and within sight of Le Petit Couvent. Travel just 10 minutes away to our nearest town, Mauleon-Licharre, and you will find countless more Bar Restaurants to enjoy.
The nearest boulangerie is a 4 minute drive away and again and there are several more in Mauleon-Licharre itself along with a butchers, a delicatessen, a poissonnerie, 3 supermarkets, and a fresh local Market on Saturdays. Whatever your preference we are sure you will find something that you will enjoy!
Wine and cheese are of course, something of a speciality around here. Whatever your preference, a wine tasting or two during your trip comes highly recommended and we would be happy to help you arrange this. For the cheese lovers, why not try our local Cheese Tour - La Route du Fromage Ossau-Iraty.
If you are happy to travel a little further afield, San Sebastian - known as the Gastronomic Capital of Europe is 1hr 30mins away and well worth the visit!

Skiing & Snowboarding
With the Pyrénées right beside us we are naturally blessed with some fantastic ski resorts. Closest skiing is 1 hour drive.
Fishing
From white-water rapids, lakes or rivers, fishing enthusiasts are able to enjoy wild salmon and trout fishing, fly fishing or course fishing.
Air Activities
Go paragliding, microlighting, or hot air ballooning and view the lovely surroundings of forests, mountains and rivers from the air.
Walking, Mountain Biking & Hiking
You will find a host of trails in the hills nearby with amazing views and of course the mountains are not far away.
Water Sports
The rivers have many activities; white-water rafting, canoeing, kayaking, canyoning, swimming and standup paddle-boarding .

Close by you will find the historic and picturesque towns of Navarrenx, Sauveterre de Bearn, Oleron St Marie, and St Jean du Pied de Port. Not forgetting the lovely Spa Town of Salies de Bearn, famous for its salt and thermal baths.
Bayonne, Anglet, Biarritz, and St Jean du Luz are all stunning and all within an hour from us.
