The home of your holidays

We are Aura & Sylvain, your hosts and owners of Le Petit Couvent in Musculdy,

in the Pyrénées Atlantiques region, southwest of France.

We met in Guatemala in 2012, where Aura was born. Over the following few years we travelled a lot as part of Sylvain’s professional activity for the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs and the Alliance Française. From 2014 to 2016, we lived and worked in Morocco, in Safi. Then, from 2016 to 2020, we moved to India, in Chandigarh.

During these two life and professional experiences, we discovered new ways of living, cooking, eating and entertaining. Indian and Moroccan hospitality is something special as you can imagine. We also travelled to different countries for our holidays: Mexico, Vietnam, Thailand, Portugal...

Since August 2020, we have moved to Mauléon-Licharre where Sylvain is the director of a high school. However, we wanted to continue to meet people from different backgrounds and countries, share our life experiences and to help our guests discover France and the Basque Country in a proper way, in French, English or Spanish.

We know how important it is to have a comfortable, well-equipped and ideally located place to stay for a good holiday, and with our help we hope to make your stay as enjoyable as possible.
